Brain Dopaminergic Signaling in Opioid Use Disorders Clinical Trial

You may be eligible for a Research Study


The National Institutes of Health (NIH) is looking forvolunteers who use opiates regularly or who are receiving treatment for opiate use. The purpose is to learn how opiates affect brain function.

  • Medical exam and personal interview

  • All study procedures and transportation at no cost • Compensation is providedYou can participate if you are:

  • 18-65 years old

  • Using opiates daily or in treatment for opioid useYou cannot participate if you:

  • Have a serious medical condition, such as HIV

  • Have a psychiatric condition, such as schizophreniathat requires medication or hospitalization

  • Are pregnant or breastfeedingLocation: The NIH Clinical Center in Bethesda, MD, is located on the Metro Red line (Medical Center stop).
