Finding Online Support Group Meetings
Like nearly every facet of life, COVID-19 has changed how those in recovery meet and support each other.
For individuals in recovery, it is imperative to maintain your support, meetings, and recovery schedule. One way to help you in your recovery is to attend support groups offered online through Zoom, Skype, Google Hangout, or other platforms. These meetings have a similar format to the in-person meeting with an opening, topic discussion or speaker, and a time to share. Due to the events of the last year, many support groups have increased the number of meetings that they offer to assist individuals who are at home and unable to access an in-person meeting.
This blogpost will bring you up to speed on how to connect when in-person meetings are hard to find.
