Updated: 1 day ago

About Protect Your Brain

Protect Your Brain is an engaging, science-based program designed for middle and high school students and the adults who care about them. The course takes about 20–30 minutes to complete and uses age-appropriate language and visuals to teach essential skills for mental wellness, healthy decision-making, and addiction prevention.

You'll learn:

  • How your brain develops during the teen years

  • Why mental health matters—and how to care for it

  • What health literacy means and why it’s important

This free course breaks down complex neuroscience into simple, relatable lessons—empowering students and parents with the tools to make informed choices and protect their brain health for life.

We Need Your Help

Before we broadly launch this course, we’re looking for 50 youth to preview the content and offer feedback to ensure we meet our learning goals.

Students who participate will:

  1. Fill out a registration form

  2. Complete a short pre-survey

  3. Take the course

  4. Complete a short post-survey

  5. Receive a $25 Amazon Gift Card

These surveys are anonymous; no personal information will be shared outside our research team. The survey platform is HIPAA-compliant and highly secure.

While we ask for students’ email addresses to match their pre- and post-surveys, these are only used for internal tracking and follow-up to provide the first 50 youth who complete all four steps with their $25 Amazon gift card.

Please note that the first 50 youth to complete all tasks fully will receive a $25 Amazon gift card.
