Heal Connections: Sharing Session

Updated: Jun 22, 2023

Meaningfully sharing research results in ways that accelerate uptake of new knowledge into action is challenging for even the most seasoned experts—and yet, the critical opioid crisis demands HEAL insights now.

Join the inaugural HEAL Connections Sharing Session to learn tips and tricks from the Justice Community Opioid Innovation Network (JCOIN) on how to engage community stakeholders, including health practitioners, policymakers, and individuals with lived experience, to broaden the reach and impact of HEAL research results beyond academic journals and into practice settings.

JCOIN leaders will share strategies for bi-directional communication with community stakeholders, directive translational tools, and opportunities for scientists to tailor communication to needs of the target audiences. This session will also cover a brief introduction to why HEAL Connections was formed and how it can support HEAL research teams.

This session is open to any and all members of HEAL project teams across the pain and addiction portfolio. It will be particularly useful for investigator and research team communicators, as well as those responsible for stakeholder engagement and dissemination.
