Understanding Overdose Risk and the Science of Medications to Treat Opioid Addiction is a free online course developed to help educate participants on the effectiveness of medications for addiction treatment for people involved with the criminal justice system.
This course also features testimonials from patients with lived experience. Participants will hear from individuals like David, who shares his journey with medications for addiction treatment:
Participants will learn about the three FDA-approved medications and how these treatments have helped individuals like David recover from substance use disorder. This course takes approximately 40 minutes, and certificates of completion are provided upon completion of the course.
