One element of recovery that is instrumental to many are support groups. They can provide us a range of opportunities to grow within recovery and help us to learn how to live without drugs and alcohol through the work we do and from other people’s experiences. They also provide us steps to take to change our old behaviors, coping skills, and thoughts. Meetings connect us with others who have been or are where we are. This helps us to gain strength and hope through other people’s experiences.

During COVID, meetings shifted to online formats. As individuals receive the COVID vaccine, some groups are starting to meet in person again, while others are continuing to meet online. This provides us even more opportunities to attend meetings.
