Prior to joining Addiction Policy Forum, Laura served as the Director of Development for the Police Foundation, where she was responsible for the planning, implementation, and management of fundraising and development activities. She worked closely with the finance team and program staff to plan new projects and pursue new funding. In addition to her experience with the Police Foundation, Laura has over twenty years of experience with local nonprofits and state and local government, as well as federal contracting. Her areas of expertise include grant and proposal writing, development, program planning, and policy research and analysis involving justice, human services, education, youth and families, public sector finance, and community development. She received her undergraduate degree from Vassar College and her masters degree in Public Policy from the University of Maryland, College Park.
