Jennifer Kelly’s daughter, Justice, suffered a drug overdose at age 21 that left her in a persistent vegetative state due to a severe anoxic brain injury. Shortly after her daughter’s overdose, Jennifer vowed to advocate for those struggling with an opioid addiction.

Since then, Jennifer has testified in front of Connecticut’s congressional delegation and the Bipartisan Task Force to Combat the Opioid Epidemic. She has also spoken at numerous community events sharing Justice’s story. She is most proud of her work with the U.S. Attorney’s Heroin Education Action Team (USA HEAT), which allows her to share Justice’s story at local high schools. For this work, she was recognized in 2017 by the U.S. Department of Justice Violent Crimes and Narcotics Unit.

Jennifer is an Office Manager and resides in Tolland. She can be contacted at jkelly@addictionpolicy.org
