Jennifer has been in the field of social work since 2011 and found out right away that her passion was working with individuals who struggle with substance use disorders. Her previous experience includes working with adult men in residential and outpatient substance use treatment settings, substance use counseling with adolescent girls who were serving time in the Illinois Youth Department of Corrections, and more recently, working with chronically mentally ill individuals, many of whom also struggle with substance use disorders. She received both her BSW and MSW from Aurora University and is currently an LCSW and CADC with specialization in the dually diagnosed population (MISA). She has personally seen the impact of addiction on individuals and families and is excited to join APF and its mission to make a difference with such an underserved and misunderstood population.
