In the past 18 months, Diana and Mike have lost more than five family members to heroin overdoses. The couple has coped with the losses by sharing their experiences and educating others about addiction.

Diana helps acquire furniture for recovery houses across Ohio and works with concert venues around the state to raise money for recovery centers and family support. Mike, who is involved with a large local ministry, educates pastors and ministers about the role they can play in ending the opioid crisis.

Diana and Mike have been involved with the Addiction Policy Forum since 2017, participating in the organization’s CARA Family Day event and appearing on local television programs to educate the community about addiction. Diana is a member of the Forum’s Families Committee and serves the Ohio region.
