Chris Reed is 27 years old and has been a resident of McHenry County for most of his life. He is a current resident of Fox River Grove, IL. Chris is blessed with two beautiful children, a three-year-old daughter and seven-year-old son. 


He is currently an owner of Landstar Construction, as well as one of the founding members and President of the nonprofit organization New Directions Addictions Recovery Services. NDARS manages The Other Side, which is a sober bar, and multiple sober living group homes in McHenry County. Chris is a graduate of the LGMC class of 2016. In 2016, he was awarded the McHenry County Vision of Hope Award. He has been in recovery himself since September 20th, 2009. Being an active leader in the recovery community is a priority to Chris, and he is dedicated to supporting the process of recovery. 


Chris has a visionary mind, and his greatest contribution to any group or community is his ability to direct people and resources effectively to co-execute win-win outcomes. He has been the emotional and organizational foundation during the development of several community projects. Chris attributes the success in his life to having the direct support of his community when he needed it most. He continues to make contributions that provide support for others who are in need.
