Addiction Policy Forum Ohio State Chapter launching Rx disposal initiative with disposal packets on a table

In an effort to “Spring into Action," Addiction Policy Forum re-launched its Rx Disposal campaign. The initiative was launched to urge those in the nation to get rid of expired, unwanted, and unused prescription medications. In support of the national efforts, Diana Yoder, Ohio State Chapter Co-Chair hosted two “Spring into Action” events in Columbus, Ohio.
“This simple seasonal step — as routine as adjusting your clock, flipping your mattress or replacing the batteries in your smoke alarm — has huge potential to curb the troubling pattern of prescription drug misuse in Ohio,” said Yoder.
During the events, Rx disposal kits were given out for free to promote safe disposal. The kits included Deterra Drug Deactivation System pouches and informative handouts. The events had a successful turnout, resulting in over 100 kits to be given out. Order a FREE Rx disposal kit HERE.
