NIDA Collects Feedback from Families and Patients (Like YOU!) - Submit Now

July 20, 2017 | Addiction Policy Forum
We are thrilled to announce that the National Institute on Drug Abuse (NIDA) is collecting feedback from patients, families, individuals in recovery and those who have been personally impacted by addiction. And we need your assistance!

This is your opportunity to help shape and build the federal government's response to the addiction crisis in our nation!

These responses will help NIDA’s Small Business Innovation Research (SBIR) and Small Business Technology Transfer Research (STTR) Programs determine how best to implement strategic responses to address this crisis.

They have asked that you provide feedback on, but not limited to, the following points:

  • The significant unaddressed needs of patients and their families suffering from addiction
  • The effectiveness and usefulness of current programs and products at helping people with addiction
  • The accessibility of current treatment, prevention, and education programs
  • The type of help that is currently unavailable
  • The questions not being asked or addressed by scientists to help people struggling with addiction
  • The accumulated responses will be used by the SBIR and STTR to develop specific governmental responses to your concerns.

The accumulated responses will be used by the SBIR and STTR to develop specific governmental responses to your concerns.

All responses must be submitted via email to NIDASBIR@mail.nih.gov with “NOT-DA-17-049” in the subject line. The deadline is August 11th.
