The TCU Drug Screen 5 – Opioid Supplement is a new self-reporting screening tool that empowers criminal justice and health professionals to quickly collect information about an individual’s opioid use and potential risk for a drug overdose through a 17 question survey.

The freely accessible, innovative resource enables case managers, probation and parole officers, and pre-arrest diversion staff to determine earlier in the screening and referral process if there is an immediate need for services to address opioid use problems.

Developed by researchers at the Institute of Behavioral Research (IBR) at Texas Christian University (TCU), along with the Center for Health and Justice at TASC (CHJ), the tool can help determine earlier in the screening and referral process if there is an immediate need for services to address opioid use problems.
