More than 100 Organizations Send Letter in Support of the Cornyn/Feinstein Prevention Bill

May 21, 2018 | Addiction Policy Forum

Above are remarks by Senator John Cornyn (R-TX) on the importance of this legislation

On Wednesday, May 16, 2018, more than 100 national organizations signed a letter in support of the Substance Abuse Prevention (SAP) Act of 2018 (S. 2789). Introduced by Senators John Cornyn (R-TX) and Dianne Feinstein (D-CA), this legislation would reauthorize the Office of National Drug Control Policy (ONDCP) and key substance use prevention programs that would strengthen our nation’s efforts to prevent addiction and ultimately save lives.

The Senate Judiciary Committee plans to review this legislation this week, but we need your help to ensure it advances and becomes law.
