On Friday, May 5, 2017, President Trump signed into law an omnibus bill, which will fund the federal government through the end of the Fiscal Year 2017, concluding on September 30th.

With the passage of CARA and the 21st Century CURES in 2016, there are now 33 critical programs that are needed to provide a comprehensive response to addiction. The omnibus provides $5.43 billion in aggregate funding for these programs.

The table below shows the funding levels for all key programs in the omnibus and the funding increase of over $560 million in FY 2017.

Fiscal Year 2018 appropriations bills will be considered by the Congress this spring and into the summer and we will continue to follow and update the progress.
